I broke their hearts
My kith and kin
Up there upon the hill
Into the valley I journeyed
I'd long vanished from memories
No rumours, nor tidings came
Of the battles that raged below
Of the many men there slaughtered
I forgot their names long ago
I fled then to the mountains
With cold streams and harsh snow
I came to lands that had no names
To lands that no men know
There I glimpsed a shadow
Some vision of the past
Machines of blue metal wrought
Razed castles made of glass
Wielding fire all was rent apart
mountains there torn asunder
Then at last a blinding blast
All life was ceased with Thunder
